Now Hiring – Youth Program Driver
Sage Mountain’s Afterschool in Nature program is hiring a qualified local driver for our Summer Camp and Afterschool programs.
Afterschool in Nature is a state licensed program with a mission to ensure there are no barriers to middle-school youth accessing opportunities to learn, grow, and heal in nature.
Position Details – Summer Camp (June 24-August 2):
- Driver will transport youth to our program from home, and to home from our program within the Orange and Barre area.
- Pick Up Route is 7:30 am – 9:00 am, starting with clock in at our facility in Orange, picking up our school van, driving to student homes and transporting youth from home to our facility.
- Drop off Route is 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm, transporting youth from our facility in Orange to their homes.
- Position is Monday through Friday with the exception of program holidays.
- Our ideal candidate will apply for five days per week, but we are open to hiring for single or alternating days based on candidate submissions.
- Our ideal candidate will apply for both pick up and drop off route, but we are open to hiring for each shift based on candidate submissions.
- Candidates with additional skills and qualifications may also be hired for on-site hours at our facility in between pick up route and drop off route. These may include property maintenance, building repairs and renovations, gardening, cleaning, and other facility or program-related responsibilities.

- Driver will transport youth to and from school, our program, and home in our 15-passenger vehicle.
- Pick Up Route is 2:00 pm-3:00 pm, starting with clock in at our facility in Orange, picking up our school van, driving to Barre Town Elementary and transporting youth from school to our facility.
- Drop off Route is 5:30-7:00 pm, transporting youth from our facility in Orange to their homes.
- Position is Monday through Friday with the exception of school holidays.
- Our ideal candidate will apply for five days per week, but we are open to hiring for single or alternating days based on candidate submissions.
- Our ideal candidate will apply for both pick up and drop off route, but we are open to hiring for each shift based on candidate submissions.

Requirements of Drivers:
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Consent to a background check (paid for by our program)
The position provides driver insurance while on route, vehicle decals, maps, contact lists, and training.
