Sage Mountain Botanical Sanctuary in Orange, Vermont, provides one of the richest outdoor learning experiences available in New England. Built upon a rich history of conservation, herbalism, and activism, the people and property itself have spoken – and welcome all to come and learn how we can be better stewards of the nature that surrounds us.
We provide numerous ways to learn from our online classes, to onsite workshops, hikes, and various adventures. The skills and knowledge we share will teach you about what we have here at Sage Mountain, but more importantly, will provide a new lens for seeing the area that surrounds you so that you can better appreciate, and care for it. Donations to Sage Mountain Botanical Sanctuary are utilized to fun conservation activities for land, wetlands, wildlife, and the Scientists that come here to study, maintaine, and improve these lands. They also fund learning for those who many not be able to access this information.
As a result of Covid-19 our Interactive Programs are on hold. Traditionally, Sage Mountain offers an array of learning activities for individuals, groups, and field trips, that include educational insights to all that surrounds us.
